In a low-scoring encounter on a pitch on a rather slow side on hot day in Ahmedabad, Gujarat Titans beat Sunrisers Hyderabad by 7 wickets in a Tata IPL 2024 encounter.
SRH Skipper Pat Cummins won the toss and opted to bat first But SRH got off to a sedate start as batsmen found runs not easy to score . GT bowlers too pegged them back . Opener Wriddhiman Saha scored a quick 25 ( 13 balls,1four,2 sixes) Skipper Shubman Gill 36 (28 balls, 2 fours, 1 six), Sai Sudharsan scored an impressive 45 ( 36 balls , 4 fours 1 six) . SRH bowlers bowled tight and GT romped home thanks to cool calm David Miller who stayed unbeaten on valuable 44 (27 balls . 4 fours, 2 sixes) . Miller was supported by Vijay Shankar who remained unbeaten too with 14 . GT reaching 168/ 3 in 19.1 overs with five balls to spare .
