High on energy actor Ranveer Singh is known to get into the skin of the character he plays on the big screen. Now the actor has pulled off another coup of sorts. Ranveer who plays the role of iconic all- rounder Kapil Dev in Kabir Khan’s 83 , a film that is a tribute to the 1983 World Cup winners has now recreated the Haryana Hurricane’s famous Natraj shot in the film.
It was in summer of June 25 1983 when Kapil Dev skippered Indian team won the 1983 Prudential World Cup defeating Clive Lloyd’s two- time World Cup winner West Indies in the final by 43 runs. A win that changed the face of Indian cricket and made the game religion and stars demi-gods in India today. What Indian cricket today is because of the inspiration of Kapil Dev’s inspirational side of 1983.
