Defence Minister Rajnath Singh in scathing attack on Pakistan posed a query , “Main Pakistan se poochna chahta hun, Kashmir kab Pakistan ka tha ki usko lekar rote rehte ho? Pakistan ban gaya toh hum aapke wajood ka samman karte hain. Pakistan has no locus standi on this matter. I want to ask Pakistan, when was Kashmir yours that you are crying over it? Pakistan was created and I respect your existence.” he said.
This is the defence minister’s first visit by the defence minister to Ladakh after the government abrogated Article 370 and passed a resolution bifurcating Jammu and Kashmir into two Union Territories earlier this month.
“Pakistan should focus on addressing human rights violations and atrocities in PoK. How can we talk to Pakistan when it keeps trying to destabilise India using terror? We do want to have good neighbourly relationship with Pak, but it should first stop exporting terror to India.
“The US defence secretary during my telephonic call told me that abrogation of Article 370 is an internal matter of India. No country is with Pakistan on the current issue. Kashmir has always been with us and will remain so.”
