Sharpening his attack on Prime Minister Narendra Modi over the CBI crisis, Congress president Rahul Gandhi has now alleged that CBI Director Alok Verma was removed as he was probing the Rafale scam.
Addressing a election rally in Rajasthan , the Congress president remarked : “Kal raat chowkidar ne CBI ke director ko hataya kyunki CBI Rafale pe sawal utha rahi thi. CBI chief Alok Verma was collecting evidence on the Rafale scam. He was per force sent on leave.
“The message from the PM is clear. All those who come close to probing the Rafale deal will be removed. The country and the Constitution are in danger,” Rahul said.
