NeoSapien, an Indian AI startup focused on hardware-native AI solutions, has secured a patent for its AI wearable, Neo 1, marking a first for the country. The patent protects the company’s proprietary adaptive AI coaching system, which translates long-term goals into actionable micro-tasks in real time, setting a benchmark in AI-driven personal assistance devices.
Founded in 2024 by Dhananjay Yadav and Aryan Yadav, NeoSapien is building India’s first hardware-native AI ecosystem. Neo 1, designed as a “second brain,” captures, processes, and organizes conversations and actions, generating contextual summaries and surfacing insights without interrupting the user’s workflow. Its AI engine operates across 100+ languages, blending advanced contextual intelligence with intuitive hardware design.
Neo 1 is ultra-light, wearable throughout the day, and pairs with iOS and Android devices. It captures audio up to two meters, charges fully in under three hours, and offers 2–3 days of battery life. Its intuitive controls and indicators make interaction seamless. NeoSapien’s long-term vision includes hardware products from glasses to rings, along with a NeoCore SDK that will allow businesses to build applications on top of its AI layer.

“This is a significant milestone for us. We are not only India’s first AI wearable, but also the country’s first patented AI wearable built on proprietary intelligence and deep engineering innovation,” said Dhananjay Yadav, CEO and Co-Founder of NeoSapien. “The patent safeguards one of our core inventions – an adaptive AI coaching system that uses wearable devices to break down complex, long-term goals into manageable micro-tasks in real-time.”

The patent milestone also underscores the confidence NeoSapien has earned from investors. The startup recently raised $2 million (INR 18 crore) in seed funding, led by Merak Ventures and supported by Awais Ahmed (Pixxel), Anupam Mittal (Shaadi.com), Sameer Mehta (boAt), Namita Thapar (Emcure Pharmaceuticals), and Aprameya Radhakrishna (Koo).
With this patent, NeoSapien joins a growing cadre of Indian startups leveraging intellectual property to protect core technology, establish leadership in emerging AI and wearable categories, and drive hardware-first innovation.
