Quality Council of India (QCI), as the supporting partner for the PHD Chambers of Commerce and Industry (PHDCCI), powered the session “Emerging Technologies for Quality and Intelligent Infrastructure” at the National Conference of PHDCCI on “Transforming India with Quality & Intelligent Infrastructure”.
The Conference aimed to pursue the ongoing discussion process and to support the further work on Infrastructure development in India. It also focused on identifying the gaps in implementation of relevant policies, technological interventions, and innovations, sharing of good practices and lessons learned to take Indian infrastructure at a world class level.
Speaking on the occasion, General (Dr.) V.K. Singh, PVSM, AVSM, YSM (Retd.), Hon’ble Minister of State for Road Transport and Highways and Minister of State for Civil Aviation, Government of India said, “Every industry, whether it is education, health, or any other, requires good infrastructure since it instils quality and aids the country’s economic growth and poverty reduction.”
Dr. R.P.Singh, Secretary General, QCI, emphasized, “India will need to integrate quality infrastructure comprising of standards, conformity assessment and metrology to the amazing physical infrastructure being built to increase our economic strength in the world.”
Nikhil Waghmare, Senior Advisor, QCI, said, ”We at QCI endeavour to design frameworks, standards, and techniques as well as assisting people in developing confidence-inspiring quality assurance measures.”
The session was attended by many delegates from the Industry, Senior officials from Central and State Governments, Thought leaders, Financial Institutions, amongst others and was well received.
