In a short address at the Madhya Pradesh Assembly that had gathered to conduct the trust vote deciding the fate of the Kamal Nath government, Governor Lalji Tandon said, “I want to tell all leaders, all laws must be followed along with all democratic protocols.”
Chief Minister Kamal Nath earlier wrote a letter to Governor claiming that having a floor test will be undemocratic since MLAs are being held captive in Bengaluru.
However, Amid uproar over MLAs resignation, the speaker N. P. Prajapati left the Assembly after adjourning the budget session till March 26. The Speaker’s ruling comes as relief for Kamal Nath .
The Budget session was keenly awaited as it was to decide the fate of the Congress government , which is battling to survive following the resignation of 22 MLA’s and the exit of Jyotiraditya Scindia. This plunging the state into political turmoil.
