After a day of hectic parleys, and a call from Shiv Sena chief Uddhav Thackeray to its president Sonia Gandhi, the Congress said that it will have further discussion with ally Nationalist Congress Party on supporting the Sena in Maharashtra.
“The Congress Working Committee met this morning and has a detailed discussion on the situation in Maharashtra after which a consultation was held with Maharashtra Congress leaders. The Congress president has spoken to Shri Sharad Pawar ji. The party will have further discussion with NCP,” the Congress said in a brief statement.

tomorrow”.
Congress leadership is in a quandary, the elected state MLA’s want it to back the Sena government not from outside but also joining the government, the central leadership though is wary of support to Sena fearing loss of secularism vote. Clearly tough choice to make for interim Congress president Sonia Gandhi.
