With April 11 , 2019 coming soon . The first phase of the 2019 Lok Sabha Polls of 2019, In a message on twitter to several opposition leaders across party lines Prime Minister Narendra Modi urged them to encourage voting in big way to strengthen democracy.
Modi appealed to Congress president Rahul Gandhi, West Bengal CM Banerjee, NCP chief Sharad Pawar,BSp supremo Mayawati, Former Uttar Pradesh CM Akhilesh Yadav, RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav and DMK president MK Stalin, asking them to “encourage increased voter participation in the upcoming Lok Sabha polls. A high turnout augurs well for our democratic fabric”.

Modi later in his second tweet tagged Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao, Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik, Karnataka Chief Minister HD Kumaraswamy and YSR Congress leader Jagan Mohan Reddy, urging them to “work towards bringing maximum Indians to the polling booths in the upcoming elections. May voter awareness efforts be strengthened across the length and breadth of India”.

Other leaders Prime Minister appealed were Bihar CM Nitish Kumar, LJP leader Ram Vilas Paswan and Sikkim CM Pawan Chamling, saying: “Soliciting your support and active participation in improving voting across the country in the coming elections. Let us strive to create an atmosphere where maximum voting can take place.”
The notable omission from the list though is Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal.
