The home minister also said the central government will not tolerate such incidents and the guilty will not be spared.
‘I have spoken to the Delhi Police Commissioner on the incident of firing in Delhi and have directed him to take strictest action,’ he said in a tweet in hindi.
आज दिल्ली में जो गोली चलाने की घटना हुयी है उसपर मैंने दिल्ली पुलिस कमिश्नर से बात की है और उन्हें कठोर से कठोर कार्यवाही करने के निर्देश दिए हैं।

Shah said there will be serious action into the incident.
Tension spiralled in Jamia Nagar after a man fired a pistol at a group of anti-CAA protesters, injuring a Jamia Millia Islamia student before walking away while waving the firearm above his head and shouting ‘Yeh lo Aazadi’ amid heavy police presence in the area.
The man, who identified himself as ‘Rambhakt Gopal’, was subsequently overpowered by police and detained. He was taken into custody and was being interrogated, police said.
Minutes before he fired at anti-Citizenship Amendment Act protesters in Jamia Nagar , the armed man made a number of posts on Facebook saying ‘azaadi de raha hun (giving freedom)’, ‘Shaheen bhag khel khatm (Run Shaheen, the game is over)’ and ‘mere ghar ka khayal rakhna (look after my home)’.
The man also went live on Facebook five times from the protest site and the cover picture of his profile showed him holding a sword.
In one of the multiple posts, he said ‘meri antim yatra par mujhe bhagve me le jayen aur shree ram ke nare hon (for last rites, wrap me in a saffron cloth and chant Shri Ram)’.
