#INDvENG 3rdT20 : Buttler , Wood Shine As England Win By 8 Wickets, Kohli’s Heroics Goes In Vain

England have taken 2-1 lead in the five match T20 series. Eoin Morgan led side came out with a clinical performance to win by 8 wickets at Motera, Ahmedabad and played in front of empty stands at the Narendra Modi stadium due to COVID precautions .

Eoin Morgan won the toss and put India to bat first. Mark Wood returned after injury that forced him to miss the second T20 with with yet another sterling show. he has bowled with some pace . By clocking 150 Km and Jofra Archer 145 Km the duo had rattled Indian batsmen with brute pace leaving them shell- shocked .

A third successive failure from K L Rahul (0) saw India struggle from the start. Rohit Sharma back in the side did not make a difference . he was out for 15. Last match hero Ishan Kishan out for 4 . Rishabh Pant looked good for big one until suicidal run-out for 25 . Shreyas Iyer scored 9. Hardik Pandya struggled for his 15 ball 17. Had not skipper Virat Kohli come out with a unbeaten masterclass innings India would have been in dire straits. Kohli was in sublime form and hammered a brilliant unbeaten 77 off 46 balls with 8 fours and fours sixes. It helped India post a modest 156/6 in their 20 overs. Given the fire power of England it was not enough.

England bowling was top class. Paceman Mark Wood was once again outstanding for the second time in the series with fine figures of 3/31 ( 4 overs) Chris Jordan 2/35 (4 overs) Jofra Archer 1/32 ( 4 overs) Adil Rashid was economical 0/26 ( 4 overs)

In reply , England raced through the target thanks to brilliance from Jos Buttler. Buttler was at his devastating best in this match. He blew India away after he was out for 0 in the previous match. In his match he was determined and played his attacking game and Indian bowlers had no answer. He remained unbeaten with a superb 83 off 52 balls with 5 fours and fours sixes. Jonny Bairstow found his form and struck the winning boundary and remained unbeaten with 40 off 28 balls. England powered to 8 wickets win losing only Jason Roy ( 9) , and David Malan ( 18) with 8 balls to spare . Reaching 158/ 2 in 18.2 overs.
