Senior BJP leader and External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj has made a big announcement. At a press conference in Indore, she announced that she will not contest 2019 Lok Sabha elections.
A Member of Parliament from Vidisha in Madhya Pradesh, Swaraj has informed the party about her decision and cited health as a reason for not contesting.
“It is the party which decides, but I have made up my mind not to contest next elections,” the union minister reportedly said.
Sushma Swaraj is in Madhya Pradesh campaigning for the BJP and strongly backing Shivraj Singh Chouhan government to return to power . She also said that there is no anti- incumbency in the state due to good governance.
