Languishing at the bottom of the points table, Chennai Super Kings put on performance and remained the fans why there were three time champions. On a hot day in Dubai CSK beat the fancied Royal Challengers Bangalore by 8 wickets and 8 balls to spare.
CSK came out with a clinical show with both bowling first and and later with the bat. In bowling CSK bowled brilliantly towards the end to restrict the powerful RCB batting line- up to a modest total of 145 / 6 in their twenty overs.

Du Plessis scored ( 25), Ambati Rayudu scored a quick 39 off 27 balls. But the star of the batting display was the young Ruturaj Gaikwad who scoreda n excellent fifty and remained unbeaten on 65 off 51 balls with four fours and three sixes including the winning shot. Skipper Mahendra Singh Dhoni was the other not out batsman with with 19 off 21 balls. CSK reaching 150/2 in 18.4 overs.
