Superstar Rajinikanth has reiterated his decision to not enter politics following a recent gathering in Chennai by his fans demanding that he enter politics.
In a press release in Tamil and released on his twitter handle , Rajini said: To my fans who are like God to me:

A few people joined hands with some of those who were removed from the Rajini Makkal Mandram and organised an event in Chennai to force me to reconsider my decision to not enter politics.
While I appreciate them for holding this event with discipline and sincerity, I am also pained that they overruled the leadership’s direction to not hold such an event.
To those who accepted the leadership’s request and stayed away from the event, my heartfelt gratitude to you.
I have already explained in detail my reasons for not entering politics.I have made my decision known.
Therefore I request everyone to please not cause me more pain by holding such events to request me to enter politics.
