Congress has reacted strongly to Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s speech at the National War Memorial inauguration where he slammed the Congress, saying the PM turned a solemn event into an election rally.
Congress national spokesperson, Communications -in- Charge, Randeep Singh Surjewala targeted PM Modi asking him to not insult the sacrifices of the soldiers by turning the event into an election speech. Surjewala wrote in his twitter handle in hindi.
#NationalWarMemorial pic.twitter.com/Qnnkuv3wjs

Slamming the Prime Minister for the rhetoric, Congress spokesperson Priyanka Chaturvedi wrote on Twitter, “There is a certain dignity and solmenness to the occasion dealing with place commemorating the valour and sacrifice of our soldiers. That was destroyed by Modi today, who can’t think beyond his personal PR, politics and votes, even when it is about martyrs. (sic)”
