Former Guna MP and Congress leader who resigned from the Congress party after 18 year’s has begun new innings in politics by joining the BJP.
He was inducted at the party headquarters in the presence of BJP party president JP Nadda and Union Home Minister Amit Shah. JP Nadda welcomed Scindia into the party and said he joined his family today.
There is speculation too that Scindia might be the BJP’s Rajya Sabha candidate from Madhya Pradesh. And a possible berth in the Union Cabinet later on.
Earlier, the reason why Scindia dumped the Congress as he was apparently not happy with Congress leadership on host of issues and had cold war with Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Kamal Nath.
His rapport with senior Leader Digvijaya Singh too appeared to be strained. Scindia had since the last one year had urged the Central leadership to address his concerns and reward him with state Congress president’s post held by CM Nath, but the central leadership and Nath – Digvijaya pair did not listen to his demands and he was marginalised . Forcing him to take the extreme step of leaving the party.
With Jyotiraditya Scindia in BJP fold and it tie- up with Dushyant Singh Chautala in Haryana, who says BJP does not have a liking for dynast’s ? They do accordingly to the political wind and convenience .
