The nation bid and emotional farewell to the 67 – year- old People’s Foreign Minister Sushma Swaraj . The mortal remains of the BJP stalwart had shocked the political fraternity and leaders across party lines paid their last respects to her before her final journey .
She was cremated with full state honours at the Lodhi road crematorium . Her last rites were performed by her daughter Bansuri.

Attending the funeral were Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Defence Minister Rajnath Singh, Home Minister Amit Shah and BJP Patriarch L K Advani, Venkaiah Naidu
Senior BJP leaders Rajnath Singh, JP Nadda, Ravi Shankar Prasad and Piyush Goyal were among the pallbearers as the mortal remains of the BJP stalwart were being taken from BJP headquarters to Lodhi crematorium in Delhi.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi earlier in his several tweets had lauded Sushma Swaraj
