Following the launch of the historic nationwide vaccination drive and significant step towards making India covid free , Union health minister Harsh Vardhan in his comments said the vaccine will work as ‘sanjeevani’ against COVID-19.

“This is probably the biggest immunisation campaign against COVID-19 anywhere in the world. India has tremendous experience in handling such issues. We have already eradicated polio and smallpox,” Vardhan said.
“Have won battle against polio, small pox. Now we have reached a decisive phase in war against COVID-19, he added.
