London’s Westminster Magistrates’ Court will pronounce the decision of the extradition case of liquor baron Vijay Mallya on December 10.  India desires to extradite Mallya, an alleged monetary offender, from the United Kingdom to face charges of cash laundering and bank fraud, amounting to Rs. 9,000 crore.

Earlier , Mallya stated that he is making an effort to repay loans but banks aren’t helping him. “The banks have filed objections inside the court on my settlement packages. You ought to ask them that why they may be now not assisting me in my efforts to repay them. I obviously don’t consider what the prosecution is alleging. Let the Court determine. I am equipped for settlement,” Mallya told reporters out of doors Westminster Magistrates’ Court in which his extradition case is being heard.

Earlier, Mallya’s defence suggest accused the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) Special Director Rakesh Asthana of threatening the banks to document cases towards his patron. The attorney advised the Court, “CBI’s Rakesh Asthana threatened banks with ‘results’ if they did not document instances towards Mallya.” He also claimed that there’s no evidence that Mallya or his agency Kingfisher has applied for bank loans with any terrible aim.

“There is no proof that Mallya or Kingfisher implemented for financial institution loans with horrific purpose,” Sir Bernard Law added.
