In a tragic incident fifteen people were electrocuted to death and several injured in an accident at a power transformer at a Namami Gange project site on the banks of the Alaknanda river in Chamoli district, an official said .
As per ANI report, Following the instructions given by Uttarakhand CM Pushkar Singh Dhami, District Magistrate Chamoli Himanshu Khurana ordered a magisterial inquiry into the Chamoli incident.
According to ANI, Due to bad weather, Chief Minister Pushkar Singh returned to Dehradun. CM was going to Chamoli to conduct an on-the-spot inspection of the incident site

Dhami has given instructions to provide Rs 5 lakh to the dependents of the deceased and Rs 1 lakh to the injured.
