The clash between Indian and Chinese troops in Tawang sector of Arunachal Pradesh is set to rock Parliament on Tuesday with several Congress MPs demanding a statement from Prime Minister Narendra Modi over the situation at the border.
Govt should make a statement on this. It has been going on. China has encroached upon our land. From Ladakh and Uttarakhand, they’ve reached Arunachal. We’ve the right to know Govt’s preparation to tackle China’s conspiracy, Adhir Ranjan Chowdhury, Leader of Congress in LS on India-China face-off in Tawang told ANI
The Congress MPs have given adjournment notices in both houses of Parliament to discuss the border situation with China.
While Manish Tewari has given a notice in the lower house, Congress leaders Randeep Surjewala and Syed Nasir Hussain have given similar adjournment notices in the upper house.
Senior Congress leader and former I&B Minister Manish Tewari tweeted, Question is not that Galwan Clash happened or now Yangtze clash has happened. Ques is why is it happening ?What is it Chinese really want ? Do we have a read on their intentions. It is the why that is critical. Otherwise we have a battle hardened Armed Force to take care of them.
