Lucknow Super Giants riding on a sensational blitz by Mukul Choudhary stunned Kolkata Knight Riders by three wickets in a thrilling Tata IPL 2026 encounter at Eden Gardens , Kolkata. Earlier , LSG skipper Rishabh Pant won the toss and opted to bowl first .
Kolkata Knight Riders got off to shaky start with openers Skipper Ajinkya Rahane and Finn Allen . Finn Allen was unlucky to be given out as Digvesh Singh Rathi held on to a catch off Prince Yadav where replay showed his foot touching the boundary. KKR did not review it though . Angkrish Raghuvanshi showed intent with a fine 45 ( 33 balls , 5 fours 2 sixes), Rahane too looked in good touch but for a 24 ball 41 ( 4 fours, 2 sixes). Rinku Singh flopped again out for.
And much to the releif of the KKR dug-out and himself Cameron Green finally had some runs under his belt 32 ( 24 balls , 3 fours, 1 six). Giving the urgency to the KKR innings towards the end was the West Indian power man Rovman Powell who blasted a quick 39 ( 24 balls , 4 fours, 2 sixes).
Both Powell and Green remained not out as KKR finished with a competitive total of 181/4 in their 20 overs.

In reply to 182 , LSG with openers Aiden Markram and Mitchell Marsh were watchful as they could score 41-1, 4.1 overs. Markram was the first out for 22, Marsh too did not last long out for 15 . However, The game changing or rather match defining innings came from the young 21- year old Mukul Choudhary who smahed a scintillating unbeaten knock of 54 ( 27 balls, 2 fours 7 sixes) and literally took the game away from KKR. LSG reaching 182/7 in their 20 overs. It was a thrilling end to the match
