Punjab Kings produced a super all-round effort to stun Mumbai Indians By 7 wickets and book a place in Qualifier 1 by finishing in top 2 in the Tata IPL 2025 points table . The five-time winners MI will play in the Eliminator.

Had not Suryakumar Yadav was the only bright light in the MI innings as he scored a vital 57 ( 39 balls, 6 fours, 2 sixes) a knock that allowed MI reach a somewhat decent total of 184/7 in their 20 overs.MI will have to address batting woes quickly if they want to move ahead.

Punja Kings made light of the chase as they crusied easily. They lost just 3 wickets in the rocess in otherwise a dominant batting show. Prabhsimran Singh 13, Priyansh Arya was brilliant before he was out for a well made 62 ( 35 balls, 9 fours, 2 sixes).
Aussie Wicket-keeper batsman Josh Inglis, who has a reputation with the bat to play aggressively played a gem of an innings of 73 ( 42 balls , 9 fours, 3 sixes). Both Arya and Inglis batted MI out of the match.
It was left to Punja Kings Skipper Shreyas Iyer not out 26 ( 16 balls, 1 fou2 , 2 sixes) and Nehal Wadhera not out 2 to see the Kings home by 7 wickets reaching 187/3 in 18.3 overs.
