Axar Patel led Delhi Capitals is becoming the team to beat in Tata IPL 2025 as it registered yet another convincing win. This time they beat Royal Challengers Bengaluru at their won backyard by 6 wickets.
Delhi Capitals Skipper Axar Patel won the toss and opted to field first . RCB were off to a flyer with Phil Salt leading the charge . Slat blasted 37 ( 17 balls, 3 fours 4 sixes) before he was unfortunately run-out. His exit jolted the RCB batting. Devdutt Padikkal struggled and was out for 1 off 8 balls . Virat Kohli did not find the fluency and was out for 22 ( 14 balls , 1 four, 2 sixes)
The onus was on Skipper of RCB Rajat Patidar to repair the damage. But he too looked shaky and scored 25 ( 23 balls, 1 four, 1 six) an uncharacteristic knock. Liam Livingstone failed yet again out for ( 4) , Jitesh Sharma ( 3), Krunal Pandya ( 18) as RCB batsmen found runs hard to come by courtesy tight DC bowling . Spinners Vipraj Nigam and Kuldeep Yadav did not allow them to get away with their economical spells.
RCB got to a decent total thanks to an unbeaten cameo by big Aussie Tim David ( who has done it in several matches so far) 37 ( 20 balls, 2 fours, 4 sixes) and Bhuvneshwar Kumar not out 1 . RCB reaching below par 163/ 7 in their 20 overs. Not good score for the huge home crowd .

In Reply , DC were in spot of bother as they lost three quick wickets. Opener Faf du Plessis ( 2) , Jake Fraser-McGurk ( 7), Abishek Porel ( 7 ) with total reeling at 28 / 3 in 3. 4 overs.
Despite wickets falling around him K L Rahul anchored the DC chase well with yet another fine unbeaten innings . In his home ground Rahul relished the batting stint in the middle to score an unbeaten 93 ( 53 balls, 7 fours, 6 sixes). It was a match winning knock . Axar Patel was the fourth batsman out for ( 15) . Tristan Stubbs not out 38 ( 23 balls , 4 fours, 1 six) along with Rahul saw DC home. DC reaching 169/ 4 in 17. 5 overs. RCB bowlers tried hard with their total was not enough for the day
