Ruthless Punjab Kings came out with dominant show with both and and ball to thrash a listless Lucknow Super Giants by 8 wickets in a Tata IPL 2025 encounter in Lucknow.
Earlier Punjab Kings Skipper Shreyas Iyer won the toss and opted to bowl first. And his bowlers were on target from the start with Arshdeep Singh and Lockie Ferguson getting rid Of Mitchell Marsh ( 0) and Aiden Markram ( 28) respectively . Nicholas Pooran put LSG on track but could score a quick 44 ( 30 balls , 5 fours, 2 sixes) .
Pooran was needed to stay on bit to give LSG a competitive total. LSG Skipper Rishabh Pant flopped with the bat yet again out for just ( 2). Ayush Badoni battled hard for his 41 ( 33 balls , 1 four, 3 sies) . Big hitting David Miller ( 19) threatened to score big but fell to countryman Marco Jansen . Abdul Samad played a lovely camo 27 ( 12 balls 2 fours , 2 sixes) to help LSG reach 171/ 7 in their 20 overs.
Punjab Kings Skipper Shreyas Iyer rotated hos bowlers well and field placing were apt . Though their fielding could have been bit sharp.

Punjab Kings Skipper Shreyas Iyer in sublime form hit yet another fluent unbeaten 52 ( 30 balls, 3 fours, 4 sixes). Iyer along with impact sub Nehal Wadhera who scored an impressive 43 not out ( 25 balls, 3 fours, 4 sixes) powered the Kings to a comfortable win by 8 wickets. Punjab Kings finishing at 177/ 2 in 16. 2 overs. It was the Kings second win on the trot.
LSG particularly Skipper Rishabh Pant with own form down will have lot to think about going ahead. Well the Rs 27 crore price tag pressure on Pant is clearly showing.
