New Chennai Super Kings Captain Ruturaj Gaikwad began his stint with a impressive win as the men in yellow began their title defence with a comfortable six wicket win over Royal Challengers Bangalore in Chennai in the opening match of Tata IPL 2024.

For CSK Bangladesh seamer Mustafizur Rahman was outstanding with 4/ 29 ( 4 overs) , Deepak Chahar 1/ 37 ( 4 overs), Tushar Deshpande 0/ 47 ( 4 overs), Maheesh Theekshana 0/ 36 ( 4 overs), Ravindra Jadeja 0/ 21 ( 4 overs)
