After her dramatic assault Swati Maliwal went to Tis Hazari court to record her statement before a magistrate, officials said. Maliwal left her residence around 11 am with a Delhi Police team.
According to PTI, Earlier Maliwal went to the Civil Lines police station and alleged that a member of Kejriwal’s personal staff ‘assaulted’ her at the chief minister’s official residence, police officials said.
Details of the first information report (FIR) filed by Delhi Police following the complaint filed by Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) Rajya Sabha MP Swati Maliwal against the aide of Delhi Chief minister Arvind Kejriwal has revealed shocking details.
Maliwal has alleged that Kejriwal’s Personal Secretary Bibhav Kumar ‘slapped’ her ‘at least seven to eight times’ while she ‘continued screaming’ and ‘brutally dragged’ her while ‘kicking’ her in her ‘chest, stomach and pelvis area’.
Maliwal also recorded her statement before the magistrate in the national capital’s Tis Hazari court under Section 164 of the Code of Criminal Procedure.
The NCW took suo moto cognisance of a media post titled ‘Ex-DCW chief Swati Maliwal accuses Arvind Kejriwal’s personal secretary of assaulting her’ where she claimed that she was brutally assaulted at the chief minister’s residence by Kumar.
The Delhi Police had registered an FIR in connection with the alleged assault on Maliwal. Kumar has been named as an accused in the case, officials said
Further Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal’s aide Bibhav Kumar did not appear before the National Commission for Women (NCW) on Friday in connection with alleged assault on Aam Aadmi Party Rajya Sabha MP Swati Maliwal.
The Delhi Police has written to the company that has installed CCTVs at Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal’s place to take footage of the incident in which party MP Swati Maliwal was allegedly assaulted at the Chief Minister’s house, sources said.
All CCTV footage related to the incident will be scrutinized by the police, sources added. There are eight CCTV cameras installed outside Kejriwal’s house. Around 10 police teams are investigating the entire matter, out of which four teams are trying to find out the accused, Kejriwal’s personal secretary, Bibhav Kumar’s location.
