Bollywood superstar Akshay Kumar has once again hit the bull’s eye at the Box-office with his latest film ‘Gold’.
The much appreciated film by audiences and critics alike has now crossed the Rs. 100 crore mark on its 13th day to become the actor’s ninth film to enter the coveted club.
The film directed by Reema Kagti and produced by Farhan Akhtar and Ritesh Sidhwani, which hit the theatres on Independence Day, has earned a whopping Rs. 100.45 crore. Film critic Taran Adarsh took to Twitter to point out the landmark

Akshay plays the role of Tapan Das, a character which is based on the man who led India to win gold at the 1948 London Olympics. Besides actress Mouni Roy, others who play pivotal role in the film include – Amit Sadh, Kunal Kapoor, Vineet Singh, and Sunny Kaushal.
