In a massive setback for Prime Minister Imran Khan, the Pakistan Supreme Court on Thursday struck down he National Assembly deputy speaker’s decision to reject no-trust motion against PM Imran Khan.
The court also declared the dissolution of parliament as unconstitutional.
The larger bench of the Supreme Court of Pakistan declared the deputy speaker’s ruling unconstitutional in a unanimous judgment and set aside the ruling and the steps taken after it including the dissolution of the National Assembly.
Supreme Court of Pakistan said the prime minister was bound by Constitution, therefore, he could not advise the president to dissolve assemblies; no-trust move at 10am on Saturday (9th April) at 10 AM
