The 75th Republic Day parade was done in the newly laid Kartavya Path with President Droupadi Murmu taking the salute.
Parade Commander and General Officer Commanding, Delhi Area, Lieutenant General Bhavnish Kumar led the parade, followed by Parade Second-in-Command and Chief of Staff HQ, Delhi Area, Major General Sumit Mehta.
Winners of the highest gallantry awards, including the Param Vir Chakra and the Ashok Chakra, followed the parade commander.
They include Param Vir Chakra winners Subedar Major (Honorary Captain) Yogendra Singh Yadav (retired) and Subedar Major Sanjay Kumar (retired), and Ashok Chakra winners Major General CA Pithawalla (retired), Colonel D Sreeram Kumar and Lieutenant Colonel Jas Ram Singh (retired).
The Param Vir Chakra is awarded for the most conspicuous act of bravery and self-sacrifice in the face of the enemy, while the Ashok Chakra is awarded for similar acts of valour and self-sacrifice, other than in the face of the enemy.

The armed forces will display an array of home-grown weaponry and military equipment such as missiles, drone jammers, surveillance systems, vehicle-mounted mortars and BMP-II infantry combat vehicles at the parade.
Two Rafale fighter jets flanked by a multi-role tanker transport aircraft of the French Space and Air Force roared through Delhi’s sky as India celebrated its 75th Republic Day at a grand parade with French President Emmanuel Macron gracing it as the chief guest.

The three wings of the armed forces on Friday showcased India’s rising military might with an impressive display of assets as their Republic Day tableaux complemented the over-arching theme of ‘Nari Shakti’ and ‘Atmanirbharta’.

The landing of the Chandrayaan-3 spacecraft near the south pole of the Moon and the Aditya L-1 mission to study the Sun found a prominent place in ISRO’s tableau .
Indian Air Froce aircraft, Light Combat Aircraft ‘Tejas,’ Rafale, Su-30, MiG-29 Upgrade, P-8I, Jaguar, Dakota, Dornier, C-17, C-130J, as well as the Light Combat Helicopter ‘Prachand,’ Advanced Light Helicopters, and Apaches, showcased various formations amid low visibility due to thick fog.
