After being at the helm for 12 years as PepsiCo CEO, Indra Nooyi decided to step down from her position . After 24-years of service, the 62-year old will leave the company on October 3, 2018.
“Growing up in India, I never imagined I’d have the opportunity to lead such an extraordinary company,” Nooyi said in a statement on twitter. In series of tweets she expressed her emotions as she bids goodbye to PepsiCo

PepsiCo president Ramon Laguarta will replace Nooyi, the food and beverage company added. “Board of Directors has unanimously elected Ramon Laguarta 54, to succeed Indra K. Nooyi, 62, as Chief Executive Officer,” the statement said.
