Senior Congress Leader Shashi Tharoor , Lok Sabha MP from Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala , has in tweet said that the Pulwama martyrs deserve more than ritual mourning . They deserve an accounting of what went wrong & why.
Our #PulwamaShahid deserve more than ritual mourning. They deserve an accounting of what went wrong &why. Who was responsible for the gross errors that led to this tragedy. What we are doing to ensure that it never happens again. That would be a fitting way to honour their memory pic.twitter.com/o7wE32d0sS

Today is the third anniversary of the attack. At 3.00 pm on February 14, 2019, a Pakistan-backed Jaish-e-Mohammed suicide bomber rammed an explosive-laden vehicle into a CRPF convoy at Jammu-Srinagar National Highway near Awantipora in Jammu and Kashmir’s Pulwama district.
The convoy consisted of 78 buses carrying around 2,500 CRPF personnel. The convoy was on its way to Srinagar from Jammu.
In the aftermath of the Pulwama attack, the Indian Air Force had carried out retaliatory strikes against terrorist camps in Pakistan’s Balakot on February 26, 2019.
