After his party AAP registered a stunning win in Punjab assembly polls, CM designate Bhagwant Mann took oath as the Chief Minister of Punjab in Khatkar Kalan.
Mann quoted legendary freedom Fighter Bhagat Singh as he was quoted as saying , “Ishq karna sabka paidaishi haq hai kyun na is baar watan ki sarzamin ko mehboob bana liya jaye,” Mann said.
Meanwhile, Congratulating Aam Aadmi Party leader Bhagwant Mann on taking oath as Punjab chief minister, Prime Minister Narendra Modi assured him that the Centre will work with his government for the state’s growth.
“Congratulations to Shri Bhagwant Mann Ji on taking oath as Punjab CM. Will work together for the growth of Punjab and welfare of the state’s people,” Modi tweeted.

Mann also appealed to the newly-elected MLAs to not get arrogant. “We have to respect even those who didn’t vote for us. I thank you all and the AAP convenor Arvind Kejriwal,” the Punjab CM said.
Mann, who was contesting from Dhuri Assembly constituency in Sangrur district, won by a margin of 58,206 votes over the Congress party’s Dalvir Singh Goldy.
Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal ( convenor of the party) and deputy CM Manish Sisodia attended the event. No other CM’s were invited .
