Amidst reports of rift within her PDP party, former Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti has lashed out the BJP led Central government. Mehbooba had to resign as chief Minister after BJP pulled out of its three – year-old alliance in the state and paving the way for President’s Rule.
The latest outburst once again brought to the fore the bitter spat between the two alliance partners post – split. BJP president Amit Shah had earlier slammed the PDP government over stalling developmental projects .
The former Jammu and Kashmir chief minister reportedly said: “If Delhi tries to dismiss the voting rights of people like in 1987, if it tries to create divisions and interfere like that, then I think a Salahuddin and a Yasin Malik will be born…. if it tries to break PDP like that, the outcomes will be dangerous.”
