In order to break the Maharashtra government deadlock, Shiv Sena leaders Aaditya Thackeray, Eknath Shinde and other party leaders meet Maharashtra governor Bhagat Singh Koshyari at Raj Bhavan in Mumbai.
Shiv Sena leader Aaditya Thackeray has said that his party is ready to form the government. However, it needs more time to get letter of support from NCP-Congress. The leader added that the two parties have agreed in-principle to support the Sena government.
Earlier, Uddhav Thackeray spoke with Congress president Sonia Gandhi seeking her party’s support for the Sena – NCP government.
Uddhav had met NCP chief Sharad Pawar too to discuss the current political situation in the state.
He further stated that the Governor has not rejected their claim to form the government in Maharahtra. Instead, he has rejected to give them additional time (2 days) to form the government.
Congress is wary of supporting the Shiv Sena has now sought a meeting with the NCP solve the imbroglio.
