Congress General Secretary in charge Of Uttar Pradesh East, Priyanka Gandhi Vadra has hit out at Prime Minister Narendra Modi for not meeting the poll promise to deposit Rs 15 lakh in ever people’s account.
Taking a dig at the Modi government , Priyanka asks the people, “Did the govt transfer the 15 lakh in your account they promised once? They have betrayed your trust.”
Priyanka, who is in the last leg of her UP tour, said the government has attacked the Constitution, democracy and all institutions. She added that the biggest political power is the power to listen to people. “If a politician can’t hear the people then that person is weak…the real truth of the nation lies in the villages,” she said, adding that PM Modi never visited any village in his constituency Varanasi.
Later addressing a rally in Faizabad, Priyanka hits out at the BJP saying : “The BJP has led a campaign of lies for the past five years. It is an anti-farmer, anti-people and anti-youth government,” she says, adding that she sees suffering wherever she goes. “Farmers ask me to visit their homes and see their plight, tell me their woes.”
