#JhansiHospitalFire : Uttar Pradesh Government Forms 4-Member Committee ; 10 Children Died In Tragedy ; Godi Media Dekha Nahi, Suna Nahi

The Uttar Pradesh government has formed a four-member committee to investigate the fire that broke out in the children’s ward of Jhansi’s Maharani Laxmibai Medical College.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi expressed his grief over the tragedy

The committee has been tasked with identifying the cause of the fire and determining whether any negligence was involved. The government has also requested a report within seven days.

Leader of the Opposition In Lok Sabha, Rahul Gandhi also tweeted on x his anguish over the tragedy

The committee will be chaired by the Director General of Medical Education and Training, with the other members being the Director (Health) of Medical Health Services, the Additional Director of Electricity of Medical Health Services, and an officer nominated by the Director General of Fire Services.

An order issued by Partha Sarthi Sen Sharma, Principal Secretary of Medical Health, has asked the committee to investigate the primary cause of the fire, which is believed to have been caused by an electrical short circuit.

The committee will also provide recommendations to prevent such incidents in the future.

“The committee will submit its investigation report to the government within seven days,” the order stated.

The fire, which broke out around 10:45 PM on Friday ( November 15) , claimed the lives of at least 10 children and left 16 others critically injured.

District Magistrate, Avinash Kumar quoted by ANI said , “…7 bodies have been identified and handed over to the relatives. The investigation to identify 3 others is still going on and we are clarifying the situation regarding 1 child. We are talking to their relatives, their weight and measurements are there… Among other children who were admitted, 3 are in serious condition. Prima facie – this situation has probably arisen due to an electric short circuit…”

On the Jhansi Medical College fire incident, CPI leader D Raja quoted by ANI said, “The incident is very sad and shocking…Why did such a failure happen? The UP CM claims he is a Vishwaguru but what is happening in his won state, UP?… UP CM Yogi Adityanath should take responsibility for such incident…The double-engine government of the BJP has brought multiple disasters. The UP government cannot protect the children, and provide security to women, Adivasis. What is happening in UP? It is the complete failure of the BJP government…”

The Godi media which went after West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee over the  RG Kar rape and murder  has expectedly pressed the mute button over the Jhansi  hospital issue  .  Dekha Nahi, Suna Nahi . And no call to ask  UP CM Yogi Adityanath to resign.
