The pan-India thriller in Hindi, Tamil and Telugu is directed by South filmmaker Atlee and the first day saw audiences enthusiastically pouring in across places such as Delhi-NCR, Jaipur, Jammu, Mumbai and Kolkata, reminiscent of the jubilation that greeted the release of “Pathaan” in January.
Reacting to the audience Superstar Shah Rukh Khan said he is “overwhelmed” by the outpouring of love for “Jawan” and promised fans that he would take time out to thank them for watching his latest film in cinema halls.

“Jawan” opened on Thursday across the world with several viewers flooding theatres in festive frenzy waking up to catch the first day-first show as early as 5 am in some Indian cities.
As per early critics reviews, the Atlee directorial is an impressive blend of high-octane stunts and a politically charged narrative with a strong emotional core.
Besides the King Khan others in pivotal roles are- Nayanthara and Vijay Sethupathi. Deepika Padukone makes a special appearance.
