The BCCI has announced the India’s T20 and ODI squads for the series against the West Indies. In good news for Indian fans, Batting mainstay Rohit Sharma has recovered from his hamstring injury that forced him to the the South Africa series. Sharma who was first appointed as T20 skipper will take charge of the ODI team as well with this series.
Kuldeep Yadav after recovering from surgery makes a comeback in the ODI squad. Senior spinner Ravichandran Ashwin has been dropped from both the ODI and T20 squads. Struggling Bhuvneshwar Kumar retains his spot in the T20 squad .
Deepak Chahar making an impression with both bat and ball figures in both ODI and T20 squads. Hardik Pandya does not figure in any sides.
Rishabh Pant is now clearly the team’s first choice wicket- keeper in all formats .
Also getting a maiden India call is young leg- spinner Ravi Bishnoi , who impressed all with his skills in the IPL for the Punjab Kings.

The BCCI also stated that Jasprit Bumrah, Mohd. Shami have been rested from the series. KL Rahul will be available from 2nd ODI onwards.
R Jadeja is undergoing his final stage of recovery post his knee injury and will not be available for the ODIs and T20Is.
Axar Patel will be available for the T20Is.
The three ODIs will be held in Ahmedabad ( February 6th, 9th, 11th ) while the three T20Is will be held in Kolkata (February 16th, 18th and 20th .
