India levelled the three – match T20 series against Australia 1-1 as they won the second game in Nagpur by six wickets. In a rain hit encounter which saw the match reduced to 8 overs per side , India skipper Rohit Sharma won the toss and decided to field first.
Australia Lost Cameron Green early for 5 run- out . Skipper Aaron Finch got the Aussies going with a 15 ball 31 ( 4 fours , 1 six). Glenn Maxwell flopped out without disturbing the scorers. Tim David fell for 2 . Axar Patel bagged both Maxwell and David. The Aussie push for a respectable total got the boost thanks to the superb finish by wicket- keeper Matthew Wade . Wade was brilliant in his 20 ball unbeaten 43 ( 4 fours, three sixes) . Steve Singh was run out last for 8. Australia finishing at 90/ 5 in their 8 overs.
For India the bowling figures were : Axar Patel 2/13 ( 2 overs) ,Jasprit Bumrah 1/ 23 ( 2 overs) , Harshal Patel 0/32 ( 2 overs), Yuzvendra Chahal 0/12 ( 1 over), Hardik Pandya 0/10 ( 1 over)
In reply India began aggressively, with Skipper Rohit Sharma and K L Rahul. The first over from Josh Hazelwood went for 20 runs. India were on the the chase . K L Rahul fell for 10. There was a hiccup though when Virat Kohli fell for 11, Suryakumar Yadav for 0. Hardik Pandya for 9 . But fortunately for India skipper Rohit Sharma surprising himself too with his shot-making was brilliant as he guided India’s chase with a fine unbeaten 46 ( 20 balls, 4 fours , 4 sixes).

Finisher Dinesh Karthik finished off the match with four balls to spare with a six and a four in in 2 ball 10 not out. India romping home 92/ 4 in 7.2 overs.
For Australia the bowling figures were , Adam Zampa 3/ 16 ( 2 overs), Josh Hazlewood 0/ 20 ( 1 over), Pat Cummins 1/ 23 ( 2 overs) , Daniel Sams 0/20 ( 1.2 overs), Sean Abbott 0/11 ( 1 over)
An emotional Rohit hugged DK after the match. The hug became the talking point after Rohit was seen grabbing Karthik’s neck during a playful manner in the first T20 in Mohali.
