Indian Boccia Players Won 5 International Medals At “World Boccia Challenger 2024 Egypt” Competition

Indian Boccia athletes have achieved a groundbreaking feat by securing five international medals at the prestigious “World Boccia Challenger 2024 Egypt” competition, held in Cairo from July 16th to July 22nd. Led by Ashok Bedi, Additional Chairman of Boccia India, and Jaspreet Singh Dhaliwal, President of Boccia India, the team demonstrated exceptional skill and determination, bringing honour to the nation.

Anjali Devi from Himachal Pradesh emerged as a standout performer, winning the Gold Medal in the Women’s Boccia Category. Sachin Chamaria from Delhi and Gayatri Hoodeda also contributed to India’s success by securing Silver Medals in the Men’s BC3 and Women’s BC1 Categories respectively. Additionally, Sarita Dwivedi and Govind Bhai claimed Bronze Medals in the BC3 Women’s and BC2 Men’s Categories, underscoring India’s growing prominence in adaptive sports.
