Union Minister and BJP leader Smriti Irani filed her nomination from Amethi parliamentary constituency. Irani will take on Congress president Rahul Gandhi in a much awaited contest that the nation awaits . Later she took out a road show along with Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath.
She also performed a ‘puja’ ahead of filing her nomination from the Lok Sabha seat in Amethi where she is pitted against Congress president Rahul Gandhi. Her husband Zubin Irani was also present at the ‘puja’.
Amethi will vote on the fifth phase of the Lok Sabha polls on May 6 .
Irani has been very aggressive on her attacks on Rahul Gandhi and has criticised his filing nomination from second seat in Wayanad in Kerala fearing a possible loss this time in Amethi.
Irani has been vocal on the development issues in Amethi as well blaming Rahul for not doing enough despite being a high profile constituency for several years now .
