Union Home minister minister Rajnath Singh has slammed the tie-up between the SP and the BSP for the forthcoming Lok Sabha polls 2019.
Commenting on the alliance he reportedly said Samajwadi Party will have to bear the consequences of teaming up with the Mayawati-led party in the Lok Sabha elections.
Addressing an election meeting at Dataganj re, he said, “… Samajwadi Party (SP) does not know what big mistake it has committed by forging an alliance with the BSP. It will have to bear the consequences.”
The SP – BSP had put aside their past differences to forge a Grand alliance in Uttar Pradesh. They had left out the Congress. Though both the parties will not according to the arrangement will not field candidates in Amethi and Rae Bareli. Constituencies of Congress president Rahul Gandhi and UP Chairperson Sonia Gandhi respectively.
