Fashion designer Sonia Jetleey’s latest collection Sukoon was launched amidst fanfare at the just concluded India Style Fashion Week. The collection is a story of her journey with the weaves and crafts of India.
The garments with an Indian soul with ajrakh block print and chanderi weave dominated the designs. The look was very global and stylish yet simple and significant.
The collection had handcrafted, thoughtfully curated, organic garments like tiered dresses, kimono hand quilted jackets, worn with relaxed divine pants, relaxed overshirts, cord sets with kurtis and co-ordinated slim pants, tunics, made by our very own local artisans.
“We also have hanky style shirt dresses, hanky style long tunics with divine pants, high low style tunics, patch work tops in beautiful fall colours like very peri, marigold, olive green, sapphire blue.
Overall it is a bouquet of new styles to wear and flaunt to bring out the divine in you”, stated Sonia while talking about her collection. The show saw a massive turn out of capitals fashionistas and social fraternity cheering up for their favourite designer.
