Impact at first sight . That is what happened to me when I saw first Aishwarya Rai in the Pepsi commercial way back in 1993 along with Aamir Khan and Mahima Chaudhary. Rest they say often is history .
There was no looking back for this stunning beauty with those captivating eyes and figure . A massive head turner in true sense . Bollywood beckoned and she made her presence felt with her performances . She rocked the big screen opposite the biggest names with aplomb and carved her own niche .
Films like Hum Dil De chuke Sanam ( 1999 opposite Salman Khan and Ajay Devgn), Devdas ( 2002) opposite superstar Shah Rukh Khan and Madhuri Dixit. Mohabbatein opposite Shah Rukh Khan ( 2002). Aishwarya had done three films with superstar Hrithik Roshan Dhoom 2 ( 2006 ) Jodha Akbar (2008) and Guzaarish (2010). And her pairing with Hrithik was widely appreciated as both were good looking. In Dhoom 2 she had the nation swooning all over with her fast paced racy number Crazy kiya Re. It presented at her most stylish and sexy avatar. After a break of 5 years staged a comeback in Sanjay Gupta’s Jazbaa ( 2015) and Omung Kumar’s Sarabjit ( 2016). But these films did not do well at the Box- office.
And Karan Johar’s film Ae Dil hai Mushkil ( 2016) saw Aishwarya back with a bang as a poetess opposite much younger Ranbir Kapoor . Aishwarya and Ranbir set the screen on fire with their sizzling hot chemistry in the song Bulleya, which had steamy lovemaking shot between the duo . The age difference hardly mattered.
The duo later on took their chemistry off- screen as they posed in the film magazine Filmfare November 2016 issue . The photo-shoot was daring , bold and oozing sex. The sight of Aishwarya firmly sitting on Ranbir Kapoor’s lap was sight to behold . It was truly sexy passionate shot.
Apart from films Aishwarya has been India’s representative at the iconic cannes film festival . And in 2023 too , the lady even after so many years continues to mesmerise fans with her stunning red carpet appearances . Former Miss World Aishwarya Rai Bachchan kept her date with the Cannes Film Festival as she turned heads at the movie gala in a shimmery outfit. The former Beauty queen wore a lightweight aluminium detailed gown with a signature cinched corset and an embellished hood. It was a Sophie Couture’s collection .
And she is quite n the ramp ass well. And recently Aishwarya Rai Bachchan left everyone awestruck at the Paris Fashion Week For the special event, she chose to wear a golden shimmering cape gown. Her blonde highlights were not to be missed out. It had a see-through cape fastened to the rear. In addition, Rai sported diamond rings, earrings, and golden high heels.
And on the big screen, the diva was last seen in midas touch director Mani Ratnam’s Ponniyin Selvan 2 2023 . And here too the diva wowed all with her grace, poise and elegance. She made her presence in a pink embellished suit. The bright pink canvas of her traditional suit was adorned with elaborate embroidered golden motifs. Leaving all awestruck with her beauty.
