Two special investigation teams of Crime Branch have been formed under Deputy Commissioner of Police Joy Tirkey and DCP Rajesh Deo. According to media reports , the death toll in the deadly violence that has rocked parts of Delhi for three days rises to 37.
The teams to immediately take over the investigation of the cases connected with North East Delhi violence.
B K Singh, Additional CP (Crime Branch) to supervise the work of the two teams.
Meanwhile, Delhi Police PRO MS Randhawa said, “We will address all the individual cases. Investigation is going on. We have multiple footages. As the investigation progresses in all the cases, we will share the details.
“We are investigating from all angles.”
“Situation is normal. No incident took place today. Adequate forces have been deployed. 48 FIRs have been registered so far, more FIRs are being registered as we are getting more info. 350 Aman committee meetings have been held so far,” Randhawa said.
