Wrestlers Bajrang Punia and Vinesh Phogat met former Congress president and leader of Opposition Rahul Gandhi amid speculation that the two star grapplers could be fielded in the Haryana Assembly polls by the party.
The meeting of Vinesh and Punia with Rahul will surely rankle BJP and the Godi media .
The Congress has remained tightlipped about whether Punia and Phogat could be field with AICC general secretary in-charge Haryana Deepak Babaria saying on Tuesday that there will be clarity on it by Thursday.

The Congress put out a photograph of Gandhi with Phogat and Punia on its official X handle.
Phogat visited farmers camped out at a protest site in Shambhu on the Haryana-Delhi border, describing herself as “your daughter” and saying she prays to God to deliver justice for them. The wrestler urged Centre to listen to the woes of the farmers’.
