Breathing, a personalized practice
Not all breathing techniques are meant for everyone. Over the years, I learnt this from many masters, gurus and teachers. I assisted many of my teachers, which I consider an absolute honour and privilege. I practiced with people who were trying to overcome health challenges and witnessed first hand how teachers customised the practice for them.
Breathing is not a ‘fad’. It is for life.
When people take this practice to the west, or to an audience who have never experienced conscious breathing, it becomes a ‘fad’ or a new exercise routine.
As one moves from unconscious to conscious breathing, the rhythm of breath changes, giving rise to more synchronized states of mind and body. This makes us more healthy.
I will explore many aspects of breathing and help you appreciate how yoga breathing is not just one technique but an armory of tools which can be used with precision in order to achieve the result you want.
