Former Haryana Chief Minister and Congress leader Bhupinder Singh Hooda is in deep trouble. According to media reports the CBI has registered new case against him and others over alleged irregularities in land allocation and carried out searches at 30 locations in Delhi-NCR, officials reportedly said.
A team of officials from the agency arrived early morning at Hooda’s residence in Rohtak, Haryana.
Media reports also indicate that thee investigative agency is simultaneously conducting raids at more than 30 places in Delhi and nearby areas in connection with the alleged land scam.
The Supreme Court had on November 1, 2017, ordered a CBI probe into the acquisition process for 1,407 acre and subsequent release of 95 % land. It is alleged that around 1310 acres of this land was given to private builders.
