The Bharat Jodo Yatra led by former party president Rahul Gandhi entered its 69th day on Tuesday and will reach Washim district in the Vidarbha region of Maharashtra later in the day.
Gandhi started the foot march from Phalegaon in Hingoli district on Tuesday morning. Senior Congress leader Jairam Ramesh, former Maharashtra minister Yashomati Thakur and other party leaders walked along with Gandhi.

Later Jairam Ramesh quoted by ANI said, The Yatra will promote togetherness, it has connected our party… Its effects, if any, would show up during the 2024 elections. This Yatra is promoting door-to-door contact which we had forgotten. We had forgotten as we were in power, but we are remembering it with this Yatra now.
